Mack Bailey and Rachel Levy Concert at Tunes By the Tracks
Thanks to everyone who attended the show last night in the Chapel of the Spa Apartments in Clifton Springs, NY!!
Mack and Rachel delivered a fantastic show that felt wonderful right from the opening notes. The enthusiasm of the audience was palpable, and contagious.
Mack incomparable vocals...soaring and powerful or soft and subtly nuanced, and layered by Rachel Levy's sweet harmonies was perfect. Their choice of material seemed just right for the setting and for the crowd.
The evening was magical!!

Mack Bailey and Rachel Levy on fan cruise
Tunes By the Tracks presents ~
"In its power, clarity and sheer beauty, MackBailey's voice reminds me of no one more than my friend, the late John Denver. I love to hear this man sing."
Tom Paxton
Please check out Mack's website ~ http://www.mackbailey.com/
More about Mack Bailey, with sample videos and songs.
So many superlatives have been used to describe Mack's talent, that it's hard to find anything to say that doesn't sound trite. Mack's voice is simply astonishing! He's a national treasure as a folksinger. Raised up...as they say...in the small town of Troy, NC, Mack's country boy persona is the real deal, and if you're anything like me, your first impression on seeing Mack will be..."shoot, I'd like this guy for my friend!"

Jim Clare and Betsy Galbraith at Chapin Methodist Chapel
We had a very enjoyable time last evening. Betsy Galbraith, and Larry Laursen and I sang for our suppers at the Chapin Methodist Church, a lovely little chapel on route 21 just north of Canandaigua. Betsy, Larry and I were joined by Larry's daughter Jamie, who is a fine young singer and much prettier than her dad. We were pleasantly surprised by a young man who thought the evening was a talent contest. He asked to do a song, and he sang very well. I only know him by his first name, but Alex did a very nice job with his song. The tiny hamlet of Chapin is fortunate to have such a lovely and active church to support spiritual needs, and also to provide a warm, friendly community center for everyone.

Jim and Allen happily hosting Tunes By The Tracks
Thanks to everyone who was able to navigate the treacherous roads to be part of the warm and supportive crowd at Tunes By The Tracks on Wednesday!!
Our featured performers, CUISLE MO CHROI warmed the cockles (whatever the heck they are!) of our collective Irish hearts, with their fine musicianship and stirring vocal harmonies. The ladies make any room they play feel like an Irish country cottage with a soft peat fire and a warm hearth.

Cathy McGrath, Pat Carey, Mary Lester ~ CUISLE MO CHROI
Many thanks and kudos to the always entertaining Mystery Pickers!!
Canandaigua favorites Meyer & McGuire opened the second half with a mix of their great original music, and some rousing sing-alongs to really get our musical juices flowing!
They were followed by Angie Lenzo and Abby Drew whose soft ballads sung in beautiful harmony instantly captured our hearts!
And then Allen Hopkins and I did a couple, including one of my favorites, "Aragon Mill", a song written by Si Kahn, one of Allen's Harvard classmates.
We all gathered for the grand finale.....which we modestly call the .....Big Deal....!!
The ladies of Cuisle Mo Chroi led us all in singing the wonderful "Wild Mountain Thyme". It was a sweet ending to another sweet evening of music and we thank everybody for making it a success!
